not able to boot in arch goflex

my goflex not recognizing my hard disk with arch linux installed.
it constantly booting in rescue mode.

Check the label of the rootfs partition.

Setup netconsole. We will need your

How is the disk attached, how big is it, and is it partitioned with GPT, MBR or Hybrid?

disk is directly attached to usb port of goflex
it is 160gb ide external hdd
and dont know what you are saying gpt mbr
there is only 1 partition ext3 and i am using it as a rootfs.
means whole harddisk for arch purpose

It sounds to me then, that the usb enclosure & ide drive are not ready in time to make the device present to uboot.

I think there is a trick to start/stop/start the usb which might assist you.
