[Solved] Newbie PogoPlug Samba Install Question

Thanks guys! Got it working and sharing over my network. One issue I had was that the "security=share option has been deprecated". Once i removed that I was good to go. It was an option provided on the samba guide I mentioned before...needs an updating. Also I just renamed my drives Media1 and Media2 through computer storage management through windows. After altering my smb.conf and adding the proper user I had no problems. Again thanks alot. No way I could of figured this thing out on my own.

It looks like I will be going through a similar routine, as I would like to keep my drives NTFS. Is write access to the drives working for you over the network? ie: Can you add movies to your movie drive from your windoze laptop?

You know how anticipation of hacking a device can get to you, though. Just finished putting a new ROM on the Nook Color, and am looking on to the next project.

What are the main issues I will run into if I keep the drives NTFS?

Edit: You may have already answered in the other thread. As long as read speeds are fine, then I think I'm good to go...

Is there any way to add Samba shares to the stock Pogoplug, and still keep the cloud online capabilities? I a new V3 pink, and it works great for everything but sharing MKV, so not really eager to jump to Archlinux if not needed.
