Well, I think it regularly checks for XCE being loaded, then attempts to load it, and if it fails, it reboots. Now that I have XCE compiled and loaded, it's at 10+ hours uptime, and still working like a charm.

I have yet to build it for the kirkwood 3.1.10 kernel, and you will need a chunk of interesting bits to make it compile

This thing spits out lots of error before it launches but it does work. Thanks for suggestions WarheadsSE
Also, another note: there's no hbplug.conf untill hbplug is launched at least one time, you can't really create one yourself because service id gets generated automatically by hbplug and it goes into that .conf.
@WarheadsSE hbplug.conf is actually in the bin folder like pshevrin suggested in his guide.

I'll say this one last time:
I've not used stock kirkwood devices. I placed it where it came from all my experience with the oxnas devices. You can create it prior, hence why I have supplied it. It will have the svcid appended if the conf is present but the entry does not exist.

Note: Without a /dev/xce device made present by the xce.ko module, you will have to deal with the device rebooting itself.

Bravo Moonman! I was thinking about buying a second Pogoplug V2 just to get back the original cloud feature until I saw this post of yours. Thank you! Now I am going to camp here to wait for the mighty WarheadSE to iron out the random reboot issue. ;)
