$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Snerler', 'A')nother thing I was wondering about is if its possible to change the Uboot parameters to prevent booting from USB, or to put the USB port after the SATA port.

It is, I have my GFN set to boot SATA first, then USB for example. If you look at the u-boot env you can see where to tweak to change the ordering.

Great! Can you give me a hint on how to work with the U-boot environment?

Do I have to get the blparam parameters from the Nand or just rewrite the NAND like using the installation?

Nope, see that Advanced tab on the device page on the main site.

You mean I can use the netconsole to change the U-boot parameters?

For some reason nothing is coming up from U-boot over netconsole, only the kernel messages.

Try ASUC UDP Console on Windows to watch and mess up with Uboot progress in booting your device.

I did see kernel messages one time but I can't get it to do it again. Netconsole does not display anything and I know its installed and configured with the default uboot. I've since updated to the new uboot and made sure to set up netconsole but it still shows nothing. I wonder if its something to do with my router/etc but I'm going to get the nokia ca-42 and use serial instead.

Does serial show both uboot and kernel messages or just uboot?

about netconsole: its probably your router that filters udp broadcast packets. You can connect the plug to your computer dire tly with a crossover ethernet cable and this will work. With new uboot, netco sole o ly works for u boot. Also, for serial it may be easier to get a usb to ttl adapter frpm ebay for like 2 bucks tham messing with a nokia cable. It will already have the pins and some of them even come with cables.

Netconsole can post both Uboot and kernel messages, but you need to add netconsole kernel parameters to Uboot (boot arguments) for passing them to kernel at its startup, because it will keep running netconsole after boot.

Try to restart netconsole with the same arguments first, and see if you can get output on another PC. If you do, write them to Uboot.
