$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('xenoxaos', 'W')e will most likely NOT update any ARMv5 rootfs beyond 3.1 because of the uboot issue.
That's fine, but not sure what Uboot issue you're referring to?

I updated Uboot, and have no issues with it. It doesn't boot Pogo OS from NAND on GFN, which I don't need. Added Netconsole, so no need in Rescue System either. If the need arise to return to Pogo, will just restore the Pogo bootloader. Never figured out, what the advantage of using Pogo website is. :)

Maybe slightly offtopic but... I had an impression that systemd was unusable on these devices (I don't know from, maybe I read it somewhere here). Can I assume that with up-to-date system (with new uboot) we can give systemd a chance (GoFlex Net)?

Going back on topic, I hope I can try this rootfs tomorrow, will report back.

Pogoplug v1/v2/v4, DockStar, GoFlex
That's what the section of this topic is, so good for that.
Not for pro, etc

Yes this roofs uses systemd and is intended to work on GoFlex Net. You can upgrade Uboot, and then update OS to a newer version as well. But you don't have a choice of any upgrade without systemd anymore. :lol: And it works really well with latest OS releases.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('pepedog', 'A')lso, I think that as most arm devices don't have a realtime clock a package is needed along the lines of fakeclock, and an ntpd service
I think this could be adapted http://www.raspberrypi.org/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=53&t=21765
I have been working too on a new rootfs, don't get "Cannot add dependency job for unit display-manager.service" myself

Yes this may come in handy pepedog. But isn't there ntpd daemon that will synchronize time with a remote server?

Yes, but if date isn't near the mark, if you choose package ntpd it may fail.
Then again if you have no network it will have the 1970 date

Yes, but I have no problems with ntpd whatsoever, unless network is off.

Yes, but we are discussing new rootfs where there is no ntpd or openntpd installed
Which leads me to
ls /etc/systemd/system/multi-user.target.wants/
dhcpcd@eth0.service remote-fs.target sshdgenkeys.service sshd.service
No syslog service, I was working on a fakeclock and noticed this
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'systemctl enable syslog-ng')
No cron
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'systemctl enable cronie')
And I just got my fakeclock running and tested
I see that initscripts is finished, BTW https://www.archlinux.org/news/end-of-initscripts-support/
Not that there is anything wrong with dhcpcd@eth0.service but netcfg or NetworkManager is recommended. A very small amount of work with netcfg means switching to a static ip is easy
