Sorry i made a mistake,
sudo nano /etc/shadow should be
sudo nano /mnt/etc/shadow

Fixed it in the previous post as well and highlighted with red the fixed part.

you probably just edited the file that came with the live cd and not the one on the archlinuxarm flash drive
