Ok, still no luck... :( As I said, /proc/1/comm shows $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'init') so I think systemd is just not running. Even though the device boots. Also I'm pretty sure I removed sysvinit so I guess rc.conf is not being picked up either.

The ln -s to /usr/lib/systemd/systemd in /sbin as init doesn't seem to trick it into using systems instead of init :(

if you can get it up, then use pacman to be sure.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('Highvoltag3', 'O')k, still no luck... :( As I said, /proc/1/comm shows $this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'init')

How do you know what it shows if you can't get in?

Plugged the thumbdrive into a live disk on a VM, and did
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'cd /mnt/ ')
then
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'cat proc/1/comm ')

Interesting after changing my VM from Clonezilla distro which I'm not sure what it is based on to a Debian distro I can no longer get anything in /mnt/ (in Debian /media/) proc so maybe I was seeing the result of the live cds own /proc/1/comm

:cry: at the end no luck might need to just setup everything again... which I really don't feel like doing anytime soon. I wanna really cry.

I've decided to go ahead and reinstall everything using this great guide made just for that.

I'm also giving back a bit to the community for the great support using the link on WarheadSE's signature, thanks!

Yup, you only ran the command for the VM, not for alarm.

I feel like it's a need to complain about this whole systemd moving attempt, I've read the reasons and all but after setting the new system completely from scratch and getting transmission to work (I only use transmission and netatalk for timemachine) on my Goflex Net. The thing just broke again on the second reboot, what changed you might ask? well I setup transmission and I created my own .service to run the leds in the front (it'll just execute my scripts) which worked perfectly fine before in rc.local. I'm pissed as hell and the worst part is that it simply logs you out so no SSH access, I'll say freaking do some failsafe to for the SSH service in systemd, or somewhere else but run it first, so people are not block out of a system that most of the times don't have a screen (talking about ARM systems in general).

We just follow what archlinux do, they decided (and I'm sure for good reasons) this will happen and init will fade away
Mandriva is systemd, think Fedora is, so is geexbox, mer, and how long before Debian does?
Now lets see your (original) led script

You can find the link to the LEDs scripts here viewtopic.php?t=1795, I doubt it has anything to do with that.. I hooked the drive to my debian install, deleted the .service I created plugged the drive again and no luck.

I wish there was a way to actually see something, a log or something of the boot process. But of course Systemd doesn't do that in plain text it creates a journal that can only be read using a command on the running arch install.. :@
