Hi Moonman,
Just wondering everytime i reboot my pogoplug does that mean i have to manually copy the hbplug.conf file from usr/local to the usr/local/cloudengines/bin location?
This is what i have to do everytime i run reboot the config file gets blanked or erased. Am i missing something?

Is there a way/script to automatically do that for you? I am thinking in terms of power outages and things

I don't think you read the guide very carefully. hbplug.conf is under /etc under pogoplug.conf. when you start the service it gets automatically copied to /usr/local/cloudengines/hbplug.conf

Hi Moonman,
So i edit the /etc/pogoplug.conf and i can get pogoplug service to see my drives.

but after i run reboot, each time my drives that were once recognized on the pogoplug service becomes inaccessible because it is not recognised

When i check using nano /usr/local/cloudengines/bin/hbplug.conf it is always blank.

What is the problem?

hbplug.conf gets copied to /usr/local/cloudengines NOT bin. Remove the one in the bin directory.

Has anyone run into network problems caused by their router setup?
I have three pogoplugs running on three different networks an routers. All were working fine, until I updated a router after a crash. It's a PF-Sense (FreeBSD based) router on a pc. Now the attached pogoplug box shows up on mypogoplug.com for about three minutes, then any attempt to view it just gives the spinning "wait" cursor.

I have no idea what setting or router behavior changed, and really can't figure out the networking eccentricities of pogoplug to troubleshoot well.
Any ideas are appreciated. Again the pogoplug software is running fine, and it shows up normally for about the first three minutes. Very weird.

Hi all,

I am new to the forum and wanted to give thanks ahead of time.

I just purchased a black POGO-E02 device from adorama. I was able to install alarm with no issues on my 8GB sandisk flash drive. I currently also have a 1TB NTFS formatted drive attached to the PP as an external device. I have this set up as a local NAS and sabnzbd device. I use NTFS because I already had this drive in my Windows 7 box.

Anyway, on to my question. I was able to get the my.pogoplug.com service installed correctly. But for some reason the service will not start automatically after reboot. Also, for some reason after about an hour or so of uptime, my TV no longer is able to see my pogoplug. My TV is a newer LG flat panel that is connected to my lan and has dlna/upnp capabilities. Would there be any reason the TV would stop seeing the device?

I just got home from work and started playing with the PP again.

I noticed that the pogoplug.service is returning this when I check the status..

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'Aug 23 17:03:59 pogoplug systemd[1]: Started SABnzbd binary newsreader.
[root@pogoplug ~]# systemctl status pogoplug.service
pogoplug.service - my.pogoplug.com service daemon
Loaded: loaded (/etc/systemd/system/pogoplug.service; enabled)
Active: active (exited) since Wed 1969-12-31 19:00:18 EST; 43 years 7 months ago
Main PID: 106 (code=exited, status=0/SUCCESS)
CGroup: name=systemd:/system/pogoplug.service
├─122 /usr/local/cloudengines/bin/hbwd /usr/local/cloudengines/bin...
└─123 /usr/local/cloudengines/bin/hbplug
')

Any idea why this would happen. I literally just turned on the PP 10 minutes ago

It takes a while for the service to start. Wait good 5 minutes after boot.

Thanks moonman.

It appears to be working okay now. The only problem I have now is that for some reason the pogoplug service seems like it stops after about an hour. I was watching a movie with the wife thru dlna on the tv and it just stopped after about an hour.

I am not sure if it is the service or if the HD is spinning down...

Is there a command to make it so the external HD never spins down or sleeps? Sorry, it has been about 5 years or so since I have used Unix/Linux in college.
