Thanks Philoo!!! Your steps worked great. One thing I had to do was to update my system (duh!). I had to do an ignore:

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'pacman -Syu --ignore glibc')

The other thing was on my windows 7 machine's vnc viewer, I had to force the encoding to raw (from the auto hextile). I'm thinking any encoding would require additional cpu/memory which is a premium. As long as it's on a LAN, bandwidth isn't an issue.

I also installed the midori web browser. A little slow, but can do google plus uploads of pictures. Nice when I got a lot. I love unlimited storage on there. Now I wonder if I can do the same thing using google command line: http://aur.archlinux.org/packages.php?ID=38195
