no you can continue with the instructions if you like. Netconsole: you can download netcat.exe for windows and listen on port 6666 wothout specifying an ip. This is not necessary but its a good for troubleshooting if the plug doesnt bootup.

I cannot help much on your problem but keep trying it should work. I was confused also by the black color with model E02 but I checked the architecture, confirmed it is a V2 and succesfully installed ALARM following wiki.

Good luck

Well I think my pogoplug is toast. I rebooted it and nothing. All this time and nothing to show for it. oh well learning curve. Stupid bad block. No led on the front of the pogoplug and no IP address on the router. The green light but not the amber light shows up on the nic with the ethernet is plugged in.

Should I be able to boot this arch linux usb drive I made from any computer? If I plug it in my pc that Im typing on right now and boot from this drive what should I see? I'd like to test my USB to see if that is working at least.

That Arch on your USB stick is for ARM architecture and your PC is x86. It ain't gonna work.

Anyone in the atlanta GA area want my bricked pogoplug so that they can fix it before I throw it ouT?

UNLESS someone wants to point me to a step by step tutorial on what/where to buy the JTag cable and how to use it. I used to Jtag modems but that was awhile ago. I followed tutorials but never understood theory beyond the basic idea map.
