At that point sambul13, he should just buy a sata-multiplier enclosure, not hack up his USB housing.

WarheadSE is right. I'm not about to go and hack up my enclosures as I JUST got them. Besides, I don't have the model with the internal SATA port. I have a pair of E02's working just fine with the USB RAID enclosures.

It depends on an enclosure design. On some models the adapter is detachable, but probably not on that RAID enclosure. Not to worry, if you're satisfied.
