Power for Pogoplug

Postby Socaltom » Tue Apr 26, 2016 12:20 am

So, I'm trying to take a pogoplug-Pro and make it a mobile media server for my camper. So far it boots ups, hosts a wireless access point and serves video via minidlna. Now I want to get rid of the 120v requirement. I've removed the original PS, and I have it running off of a "wall wart", that puts 12V on the board and it works fine. The question is.... will it tolerate auto battery voltage fluctuations ( 11.5 to 14V) or does it need to have a regulator in the line to manage that? and if so, any recommendations?

FOr sanity's sake, I would maintain a regulator.
