openssl-cryptodev depends on "cryptodev-freindly", not linux-kirkwood-dt directly. I see the problem but don't know what's causing it really. Have you tried the latest 4.7.2 kernel? I've added some patches for cryptodev

Yes, that's what happened . I reinstalled openssl-cryptodev and that pulled new linux-kirkwood-dt kernel as a dependency.
