adding a sata port multiplier to GoFlexNet

Hello everybody,
I'm new to this forum.
I've searched a little and found that some have added external port expanders to other kirkwood based devices so I guess that it might be possible to do the same on a Seagate GoFlexNet.

I started wanting to do this after having discovered that the kirkwood SOC MV88F6281 should support sata port multipliers.

My GoFlexNet is running 4.4.34-1-ARCH kernel U-Boot 2011.12 (Apr 18 2012 - 23:08:20) : what will I need to do to have any chance that a port multiplier will work on my GoFlexNet ?
