Ext4: Limit at 8TB???

Postby Sergeanter » Wed Jan 04, 2017 5:48 pm

I got an fsck error on a large ext4 filesystem placed on RAID5. The same array passes fsck with ArchLinux on PC. The error is always at the same block address just above 2^31 so I suspect e2fsck or ext4 support itself got compiled with wrong options ( short 32bit variable instead of 48bit).
I cannot start PogoPlug V4 with it normally because boot time fsck always fails . This all used to work until November as far as I remember.
Does anybody experience the same problem recently?
EDIT 04/02/17
Something got broken going from 4.8.1-1 and 4.8.4-1
linux-kirkwood-dt-4.8.1-1 does not have the issue.
