[SOLVED] pogoplug installation

Postby pm4888 » Mon Mar 27, 2017 10:26 pm

I'm trying to install latest alarm to /dev/sdb1 from an obsolete alarm running on /dev/sda1, based on https://archlinuxarm.org/platforms/armv ... 2-pinkgray

I manage to change the "md5sum -cs" to "md5sum -c" and get around this error
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@pogoplug ~]# ./pogo_e02.sh

Downloading flash utilities..
blparammd5sum: invalid option -- 's'
Try 'md5sum --help' for more information.

now here's the part I am not confident about the MAC setting message.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', '[root@pogoplug ~]# ./pogo_e02.sh

U-Boot has been installed successfully.

[root@pogoplug ~]#

Again it's not running pogoplug factory OS but alarm from sda1. What should be done about that message? Is installation successful and can I reboot?

Edit: /dev/sda1 uboot is not mainline uboot as I recall I tried to preserve the option to boot into factory os. I am now determined to stick with alarm and go ahead with the flash instruction above. mtd0 should have mainline uboot now, if install depot has mainline uboot that is.

Edit: alright I figure it's from the mount command. rebooting now... and it's good.

Edit: so the install depot has uboot 2014.04.R3-1

Edit: u-boot is upgraded to latest, rescue partition ready and kernel to -dt. all smooth. amazed by the great work of alarm team.
