E02 re-install Pogoplug service not working

I am having issues trying to install the my.pogoplug.com service on my E02 pogoplug.

To the letter, but no matter how many times I run the /usr/local/cloudengines/bin/hbplug | grep "CRYPTO"
I get UNSET...

i would like it to work, after looking at nextcloud and finding it's not compatible with PHP 7.2

Any help appreciated.

This value _should_ be printed on the bottom of the device.

yup.

got the code from the bottom of the device, edited the file hbplug.conf to include this.
Still no joy, rebooted quite a few times now.
It's not something silly like un-registering the device from the pogoplug website first is it?
might try that.
