help: seagate eGO pink pogoplug

Has anyone else run into problems with eGo drives?
I have a Seagate eGo 750 GIG usb3 2.5 " drive.
It works fine when you plug it in once the pogoplug is running.
I formatted it no problem. Added files etc. all good.
I installed archlinux and the install went fine.
But when I try to boot with it the drive attached the pogoplug won't start.
I "think" it also messed up my 2gig usb key that I had archlinux installed on as well.
My pogoplug was running great with just the usb key.
But as soon as I plugged in the eGo and rebooted the key was hosed.
Has anyone else tried one of these drives and had it work or not work?
