[SOLVED] Plz help - ssh problem after upgrade on GoflexNet

Postby jayjay » Fri Aug 12, 2011 2:55 pm

Hi all,
I have set up my GoflexNet running PlubApps linux back in April on a SATA drive. All have been fine until I tried to install freeradius two days ago. To start I removed samba and smbclient packages, then installed freeradius. To resolve conflict it asked me to replace heimdal with krb5 and some other packages. So, I pressed 'y'. I kept getting errors. I thought that I should do an upgrade. Thus, I ran
    # pacman -Syu
    # pacman -Scc
    # pacman -Syu
    # pacman -S freeradius

I got some network problem and the download was very slow. So, I leave and let it run. When I came back I lost the ssh session, and I can not ssh to the device ever since.
I downloaded the new rootfs [/archlinuxarm.org/os/ArchLinuxARM-armv5te-latest.tar.gz] and extracted it to a new ext3 formatted USB thumbdrive. Unplug the power, plug in the usb, remove the SATA drive and power it up. Results?? The GoflexNet kept flashing green.
How can I fix this ?
Thanks.
