Kernel Question

Postby asheguy » Thu Nov 17, 2011 12:32 pm

I'm thinking about taking my PogoPlug and turn it into a cloud server with Openstack and Zenoos running on it. I have a PogoPlug 2 (Grey armv5te) and I was wondering if anyone had any advice/ideas about which kernel I should use.

Thanks

1. We only have one kernel for that platform. I have no idea what you're talking about.. "which kernel."
2. OpenStack is just python.. download and run, YMMV. I don't think anyone has tried running it yet.
3. Zenoss is a whole other thing, and I'm not even sure it's appropriate for a device like a plug. You would need to compile it from source, and since they release for x86 only I'm sure there will be a handful of issues.

Realize what the device you have can do in real-world terms, it's not a pocket-sized enterprise server. Not even remotely close.
