[RESOLVED] serial port voltages?

Postby joeblow » Thu Nov 24, 2011 10:24 pm

Is the serial port on the pogoplug boards use RS232 voltages, that is +/- 5-12V?

More generally, do I have to use the Nokia CA-42 (or similar) adapter? Or can I use the real RS-232 port on my laptop and just make a cable?

Thanks!

Serials on these ARM boards (and most) are 3.3v

Thanks. Guess I'll get a CA42 (or 10) on order then.
