Did you get a message that U-Boot flashed successfully? If so you should be fine.

boot up linux live cd, create an ext2/3 partition on USB drive, label it "rootfs", extract archlinuxarm tarball as root ("sudo su" then "tar xvzf <path to arch tar.gz> <path to the usb partition>") to it.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('moonman', 'D')id you get a message that U-Boot flashed successfully? If so you should be fine.

i did try to do the archlinux install on a usb drive 8GB. Still getting nothing but a Green Flashing Light. I am using ubuntu 11.04 . the drive shows up as /dev/sdd or /media/Rootfs. I did "sudo /sbin/fdisk /dev/sdd1" o p n p 1 default default w. formatted using mk2fs ext 3. did sudo wget http://ArchLinux.tar.bz on too usb drive then tried sudo su got error no user tar so just did sudo tar -xvzf ArchLinux.tar.bz. since it was downloaded to sdd1 already just extracted it in place using sudo tar -xvzf <file.tar.bz> command. it extracted everything. walked over to pogo plug v4 unplugged the device installed usb stick into top usb port. powered up pogo plug v4, and still Get nothing put a Green Flashing Light. i am using ubuntu linux install onto my hd, and not a live CD. if i am doing anything wrong. Please help. will someone please give me step by step directions. i am still kind of a noob with Linux. i have only begun using it for about a month now. i Just need help with this situation. Thank You.

Thank You, i finally figured out the issue. i did exactly as you suggested. only i had been trying USB sticks PNY Brand 8GB really small ones 1" in length "They Don't Work" model (P-FDU8GBSLK). So i Used my old HD Sata out of my PS3 40 Gig, it worked like a charm. Again Thank you for all your Help.

With your flash drive, I see that you had it labeled as "Rootfs", I don't know if it would make any difference to label it as "rootfs" (lower case r).

I am glad it worked with hdd. :)
