Yes I experienced the overwrite problem once again, so I decided to keep hbplug.conf one level up from cloudengines folder (/usr/local) I hope this will keep it intact.

I looked at the log on mine and found a couple of differences. First mine did bind to port 80. Second, mine says CRYPTO KEY: VALID, yours says UNSET. Try reinstalling everything from scratch? Could it be that something got corrupted?

Try this:
remove httpd from daemons in rc.conf, at least for now

$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'cd /usr/local/cloudengines/etc
rm -r ./*
cd ..
./bin/hbplug #wait until it exits, it will download new certificates
reboot')

When it boots make sure your hbplug.conf is intact

Now don't just run hbplug, but run the script /etc/rc.d/pogoplug start

I just can't get it to work on either of my plugs. I can go to my.pogoplug.com and register. I says is successfully finds the plug, but it says I haven't plugged anything into it. I thought maybe it was because I was using the sata drive on the Pro, but I couldn't get it to work on my V2 either. I give up. ( well at least for another week ;) )

@Socaltom
Did you setup the vfsdir#'s correctly? Should come up with those, empty or not. I have had it running on all of my devices without issue.

I have tried to follow this guide to revert my firmware back to the pogoplug firmware but pogoplug does not recognize my device. Can I get some assistance? Thank you.

This guide is not for reverting the firmware back to what pogoplug came with. It shows how to get pogoplug functionality (specifically using the my.pogoplug.com to access your files) while still running archlinux arm. So which is it that you are looking to do.

I have done all the steps above but when I start pogoplug it shows on the web interface as no drive attached, when I go to check my hbplug.conf file (/usr/local also /usr/local/cloudengines/bin/) for errors the conf file shows as nothing in it, if i add the info again and save I get [error writing ./usr/local/hbplug.conf: No such file or directory ].

Please could somebody help?
