Another brick GoFlex Home

Postby wheld » Thu Nov 29, 2012 1:22 am

Hello everybody,
first of all: thank you very much for this forum.
I was playing around with my GoFlex Home 3TB looks like I bricked it while I was trying to change the partition.

I tried to reboot it from a stick - the archlinux and the original firmwar one - doesn't work.
It just blinks green rapidly.

I shouldn't have done this, but I did this:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('', '
')
Number Start (sector) End (sector) Size Code Name
1 63 39086144 18.6 GiB 8300 Linux filesystem

3 2382841125 5860533167 1.6 TiB 8300 Linux filesystem

Command (? for help): ?
b back up GPT data to a file
c change a partition's name

o create a new empty GUID partition table (GPT)
p print the partition table

You didn't brick it, you just removed all partitions so it's got nothing to boot from.
Here's hot to get 3TB to work: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=2611&start=30#p14953
You should probably read the thread to understand the post.

You can take the drive out of enclosure and connect it to a PC: it's just a sata drive.
Or make a USB stick and boot from it so that you can modify the drive.

And, if you dont have a linux box....Just write this to a flash drive using dd (OSX) or http://sourceforge.net/projects/win32diskimager/ in windows

http://us.mirror.archlinuxarm.org/os/ar ... Rescue.zip Of course unzip it first.
