Deleted "rc.conf" and cant restore it

Postby celli123 » Thu Jan 03, 2013 5:29 pm

Hi,

I have an E-02 Pogoplug and I succesfully installed ARCH Linux. Then I tried modifying the "rc.conf" to replace the hwclock with ntpd but something went wrong and after rebooting I cant connect anymore to my pogoplug.
Then I checked my USB Stick which contains Arch Linux and I noticed that the rc.conf disapeared.
So can someone please send me his "rc.conf" because I would like to get my pogoplug running again.

Thanks

You can just download the rootfs, untar it, and find it there.

I did a new install yesterday on my E02 and while installing openntpd, found that /etc/rc.conf did not exist. In doing more reading, seems that systemd was implemented and rc.conf is no longer used.

I also saw that /media is now /run/media/.

Thanks, I download rootfs and I searched for the rc.conf and I there was no so I guess that this missing file is not the problem.
But meanwhile I think I corrupted the ext2 file system, in the moment ia downloaed everything to create a bootable usb stick ant then I will check it.

Thanks for your help, but meanwhile I started reinstalling Arch Linux because I think it is faster then figuring out whats wrong.
