[Resolved]Device ID confusion [E02 or P21]

Postby ThinkFast » Fri Mar 01, 2013 2:32 am

I purchased a POGO-P21 last summer and just got around to testing it. POGO-P21 is the model is listed on the outside of the box. On the device it self, on the bottom it says POGO-E02. The device is black and clear instead of pink and clear and has the same shape as the pink model.
So now I'm not sure which installation instructions to use. Is there another way to identify the model #? Say if I start an SSH session is there a command to ID it?

Thanks

It's probably an E02, you can go ahead and use the pink/gray V2 instructions. I'm in the same boat but was personally hoping/betting on it being mislabeled. If you're not convinced, you can check the CPU info ("cat /proc/cpuinfo") and see that's an armv5te, which matches the V2.

Its most likely a P21, they've been labeling calling them "classics", and labeling them in that confusing manner. Check the CPU info. If all else fails, open it up and look for the SATA port, that's a dead give away.
