After reading a bunch of posts, it seems like there many problems like mine.
I used the install instructions for the Pogoplug v2 (Pink/Gray) through step 10.
I inserted the USB key to the port closest to the Ethernet port.
Then I changed the root password, executed "poweroff" and unplugged the Pogo.
This morning, I powered the Pogo and the lite turned Green. I ssh'd in and went to the "Pogoplug:~$" prompt.
Is this result related to the stickied post "Re-enabling Automounting"?
Or should I try the network delay fix "PRE_UP="sleep 15""?
Another possibility seems to be to try a different USB key.
I'm starting over with a different USB key first.
Any other ideas?
Seems a different USB key was the an answer.
I tried the network delay fix but in nano, I wasn't sure what format to write it out to. So I cancel the edit.
