squid problems with windows

i am using second method to setup squid interception and cannot browse with ie unless i turn off windows firewall.

anybody knows how to use this method without turning off windows firewall ?

I messed about with this 8 years ago, squid+dansgauadian
I tried that and think had same result
Tried something else and they had to authenticate on proxy
Used pac file method which worked but had delay with detect on Internet Explorer opening (slow clients)

found it, all you have to do is allow ICMP redirect packet on windows firewall.
Type 5, code 1
