Pogoplug mobile blinking green light

Postby chewyboy » Sun Mar 10, 2013 11:01 pm

So I've installed arch linux onto the pogo plug mobile and all went well. I was able to install the packages i wanted to and rebooted when i needed as well. However i was done for a day or two so i powered it down using poweroff and when i went to work on it again i got the blinking light. So i searched here and most solutions were put the usb drive into another linux pc, copy over the contents and boot up normally. Well i was tired and i inadvertently went an xp pc put it in and like normal it would not read the drive, so i decided to eject it. then i put it back into the mobile and it booted up. anyway i'm getting long here to sum it up for me at least and i've repeated this countless times so far if i poweroff then remove the usb stick, put it into an xp pc, eject it then back into the pogoplug it works just fine.

so now my question, is there any way to either eject the usb stick from the pogoplug mobile (i've tried to do so with the button but with no luck) on powreoff. or even in the case of a power outage is there a way to eject it initially before boot, then mount it and hopefully cross fingers boot normally?
