[SOLVED]PPV4 green blink after reboot Arch

Postby GAPP99 » Wed Apr 17, 2013 11:30 pm

Hello everyone,

I did a post a few days ago here: http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=5397

I installed the ArchLinux onto my Pogo Mobile succesfully, but since I'm a newbie I accidently removed the USB stick from the port in the back, and afterwards it wouldn't respond. So after help from moonman' guide, I reinstalled ArchLinux' ALARM. From this link: http://archlinuxarm.org/forum/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3312&p=19207#p19207

The problem is, that it seems like ALARM is already installed on the Pogo, and it's not accepting all of the commands I give it. I have tried just slavishly going through all the points on the Wiki Installation for PPV4, but it always seems like something is wrong. Here is where it's going wrong:

11. Download the U-Boot installer and run it:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'cd /tmp
wget http://archlinuxarm.org/os/ppv4/ppv4-install.sh ### Won't resolve the adress.
chmod +x ppv4-install.sh
./ppv4-install.sh')

One time it did resolve the link, but when I tried to install it, it gave me a error, saying it was not the correct device. After all this I did the reboot( /sbin/reboot ), which then resulted in a blinking green light. Then I reinstalled ALARM from what I understand, and went through it all again, only to have a problem with the resolved adress, from when I tried to unplug the power cord, and now it's blinking again. It seems like nomatter what I do, it's making errors.

Is there any way I can either clean the Pogoplug completely, to do a fresh start, or am I missing something?

EDIT: In the end, I reverted it and started on a new completely. It seemed to work after that.
