Running two partitions on Usb stick. PPV4

Postby GAPP99 » Thu Apr 18, 2013 10:48 pm

I already have installed ArchLinux on my USB, but I want to add a image to the USB stick aswell so I can use it as a audio reciever, like explained here: http://vortexbox.org/content/150-Building-the-VAMP

Could somebody please help me to solve it? So far I tried using a USB hub, and plugging in two USB sticks, but it seems like it won't follow through, if I follow the guide I posted a link to. Is it because it's for Debian?

you should be able to just dd the image to the usb stick and boot from it. It does not mean it will work though because it may only support pp v2, not v4 that you have. You should be able to accomplish the same with arch though, except you will have to do a lot of reading regarding what packages you need to install and how to set it up.

OP, if you wait a couple of days I'll post a better solution for you - run logitech media server (squeezebox server) and squeezelite on your existing arch linux installation.

@GAPP99,

I sent you a PM with some preliminary instructions. If you can test and report back it would be appreciated. I plan on writing a full tutorial in the next week or two once I have time to better test and get more familiar with squeezebox.
