Goflex Home crashed & no longer on the network after reboot

Postby jmgarner01 » Fri Jun 14, 2013 9:45 pm

Hi all,
I've had a Goflex Home up and running ALARM for about a month now. I was stopping my sabnzbd daemon today and the system started slowing to a crawl and eventually locked up. After rebooting with the power button, the front LED rapidly flashes green and then goes solid green. I'm unable to SSH or even ping the box. My router doesn't show that it's pulling an address from my DHCP server. I've tried searching but haven't been able to find a problem just like this one. Does anybody have any ideas on how to fix this or even reinstall ALARM?

Thanks,
Mike

If you dont want to take drive apart you will have to create a bootable flashdrive. You can do it on your computer using linux live cd. To create it check the link in my signature about reinstalling from scratch. Make sure to use ext3 and label the flashdrive rootfs. You will have to remove the sata drive to boot from usb. When it boots, insert it back.
