(Noob on v4) Can not get pogoplug service to make thumbnails

I've read the threads and tried to follow directions but still can't get them to work.

I have samba, pogoplug service, and Archlinux all set up on my Version 4 Pogoplug. I have my 3tb drive formatted as ext3 and copied all my pictures over to it. they are jpeg and then under the settings my.pogoplug.com clicked media and rescan, it says genterating thumbnails but onces it finishes still no thumbnails.

I tired the ffmpeg file but got confused on the $@.... what should i have changed that too or is that not even going to help. The pictures my phone uploaded have thumbnails so i'm extremely confused...

Some one help... A dummy guide of instructions would help.

I really want the my.pogoplug.com to work because it the only way for my chromebook to view my server.

It was already changed in the script, and i belive that script is for videos only. I have no problem with picture thumbnails though

How are you uploading the pictures?

My steps are...
windows 7 pc
my computer
network places
pogoplug
usb folder
then paste.

view from
my.pogoplug.com
no thumbnails
-----
pogoplug.com settings/media rescan
still no thumbnails.

Mine get uploaded from the phone. I dont know if it supports creating thumbnails like that as. There may be a manual way though
