UVC camera focus control

Postby permitivity » Sun Sep 08, 2013 9:43 pm

I'm looking to make Motion work better by disabling auto focus. It looks like the tools are out there, but I'm pretty new to Linux and don't know how to use them.

Specifically, there is a program call "uvcdynctrl" that some Debian and Pi devices use to disable autofocus. I tried doing a Pacman -S uvcdynctrl, but it doesn't look available.

Anyone else aware of a program like that? I think if it doesn't exist on the repository, you have to compile it, but that's beyond me right now.
