minidlna not showing any files

Hi,

I have installed minidlna on PPv4, but i am unable to see the files from usb hdd on the dlna

DLNA.conf entry is
media_dir=/media/$USER

Please correct me if this is wrong.

Problem with my HDD label is that it has a space in the name and mounted as /media/Expansion Drive

I was trying to make it dynamic to automatically show-up any hdd attached lilke how it is configured for pogoplug in the last post.

Is it not possible?

Take out the user variable then. You are running devmon as root right?

yes, running devmon as root.

but without the user variable also I don't get anything listed
media_dir=/media is what I have tried first and it didn't show any folder or files in minidlna.

Drive is still appearing in dlna after all the changes.
/media or /media/Expansion\ Drive

What else could be wrong?

Some update,

If I copy the files to root (/media) from HDD then I could access them using DLNA.
But I could never access the files located in the HDD mounted on /media/Expansion\ Drive.
I have even tried with /media/Expansion%20Drive and no result. I have also created a folder called Expansion\ Drive under /media and tried mounting after and the result is still the same
