- You need to create a uInitrd (and add that to uboot's bootcmd's)
- You need to alter the kernel command line from uboot
- You need to be willing to re-make the original disk if you screw it up

Well. The last one there I am ok with. I have already reinstalled alarm a few times while I self-educate myself on alarm and other aspects of this. But the other 2 are a tad bit out of my league. I would just hate to use a single disk and get it all dialed in the way I want then have a disk fail and have to start all over from scratch (hence the need for raid1 mirror). In the mean time i will just accept that there is really no relatively easy way to setup a raid1 on the nsa325 on alarm. I get nervous playing with uboot as I dont want to brick my device since I dont have a rs323 cable made yet for it. Thanks for pointing me in the correct direction though.
