USB->HDMI-Adapter Sound to AV Receiver

Postby hachel » Thu Mar 13, 2014 10:20 am

Hi there,

don't know if this is the right forum to ask this, but I was wondering if one could connect ones pogo plug v2, which does not have a hdmi-slot, via a usb-to-hdmi-adapter to an av-receiver and thus use the receivers speakers. Right now I'm using a cheap usb-soundcard with phone-plugs.

Would that work or are the pogos mainboard and the adapter missing the "soundcard"-part? would the receiver be recognized as a sound-output-device within archarm / pogos hardware?

a USB-> HDMI dongle might work, though I have never tried such things with even x86, so I can't speak to their support. If an additional kernel module is needed, we can add that to the config with a simple request.
