Even after a pacman –Syu upgrade installing p910nd fails

Package needs to be updated as it hasn't been updated since 2013.
Nudge the maintainer https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/p910nd/

Ok I created an account and sent the maintainer email and
added the problem as a comment.
I don’t want to use cups because I believe it would spool
to the USB stick.
In the mean time I have installed p910nd on a
TP-Link WDR3500 router running Openwrt and it works great.
