USB Overvolt ? No SSH GoFlex Home

Postby nwatalyst » Mon Nov 23, 2015 4:48 pm

Hi,

I had a very well-functioning system setup on my GFH. I had a feeling I might have been overdoing the USB, but without any symptoms I kept using it as-is. Two days ago it started becoming unresponsive after a couple hours on, and I had to manually power off using the button (I know, not ideal). It would boot, and repeat issue after a couple hours.

Now, it seems to boot correctly as all the lights indicate as such - green blinking during boot, solid green after 30 seconds or so, and the router light indicates connection. However, all of my services are inaccessible (domoticz web gui, btsync web gui, etc) and I cannot ssh into the system.

I did not change any settings recently to cause this.

I had a 3 port USB hub attached with a sabrent USB DAC, a 256GB usb drive, and a zwave usb controller.

I'm wondering if I may have fried something with too much current on the usb?

Any tips on how to recover this system?

Thanks,
nwatalyst

I just realized this is (probably?) better suited for the hardware section - admin, feel free to move it. Apologies.
