Postby superfly » Mon Jan 09, 2012 6:51 am

Both my xbox and my Bravia are seeing the server. However, both say there are no files. Im not really sure what the problem is. Below is the log file, any help would be greatly appreciated.

Problem 1, but not necessarily a huge problem.
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'minidlna.c:130: error: bind(http): Address already in use')

Problem 2, the real issue you're questioning:
$this->bbcode_second_pass_code('', 'scanner.c:797: warn: Scanning /media finished (3 files)!')
Seems like you need to make sure you have it configured to scan everything you want it to scan :)

That is the only directory I wanted it to scan and it is only three files. I'm currently just testing everything to make sure it's all working before I buy a HD and transfer all my media from my laptop and connect it to the Pogo. It just a USB thumb drive with a video file(.mp4) and two audio(.mp3). It worked on the Xbox when I had the Pogo Plug stock so I know the files are compatible. Now though it's saying no media on both the Bravia and the Xbox even though it sees the server fine :-/. The only thing i changed in the .conf file was the media directory to /media/, changed the server name, and presentation_url to plugip:8200. Thanks in advance.

It may be tied to that.. but the "stock" is not dlna, but UPnP.

You only needed to change 2 things, where media is (in the conf file), and change user to root in /etc/conf.d/minidlna
If you are not root, you have to start stating where db goes, etc
Then restart minidlna

Ah I see, I'll give that a try. Thanks! Would it be safer to instead set the db to the external hard drive? That way it will have plenty of space for expansion. The Arch install is only on a 4gb flash drive.
