$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'N')o, it will work.

As for compiling the kernel, try it out with a zImage kernel and kexec, DO NOT just write to nand..

A big aahh. Now I am confused, I thought the kernel compile was derisked because it only affects the the boot device in my case a usb flash drive. So are you saying the Pogo gets flashed as part of the kernel update?

I was following http://Arch Linux ARM.com/index.php5/Develope ... g_a_Kernel and got to make config and realised that the Sheeva box it refers to is a different chipset to the Pogo-B03.

Is it just a case of getting the right config for my Pogo-B03 then following the rest of the wiki article on compiling. Also not sure what you mean by zimage and kexec.

Maybe I'll put it this way:

The kernel for the OXNAS line is currently loaded from NAND. There are parts of the kernel not active, that need to be made into the kernel, and not as modules. Building the kernel will not flash the NAND, but there is apatch that needs applied, and the kernel26 package in the pacman repo is not for the OXNAS.

Long short:
I need to write a how-to, including what to patch, the default config, and how to use kexec.

Thanks again. That explains it really well at least I know how the architecture is now setup.

I will wait for your howto guide. The good thing is that after doing all this I will have a huge wealth of experience in hacking the pogoplug. :D

Let us know when the guide is ready plz.
