blinking led no ssh no ip address on reinstall

Postby blueblazer22x » Sun Jul 22, 2012 1:19 pm

preface: i'm a beginner and i have searched...

I have a Pogoplug Classic B0-1. The last time I updated was around January 2012, but recently I get a random reboot every week or two. I decided to try updating, and accidently deleted some of the file system to the point that the pogoplug would not boot.

I tried reinstalling by formatting the usb stick to ext3 and unzipping the latest tar file using a root account on a ubuntu laptop. I created the mac_addr file and plugged the stick back into the pogoplug to power up. When I power on, the led blinks rapidly and doesn't stop. A few seconds after the led starts, the usb drive blinks for about 5 seconds then stops. The pogoplug doesn't show up on my router's ip table, so I can no longer ssh.

I've tried two different usb sticks and all of the different oxnas file system tars on the download page with the same result.

I'm hoping there's an easy fix, and any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I suggest getting the 2012.05 tarball and extracting that.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'I') suggest getting the 2012.05 tarball and extracting that.

I did try that one and all the others that are on the oxnas download page.

In that case, I would need you to be willing to crack the case on the device. Either SATA or Serial will be needed if it continued to be a PITA.
