B03 blinking and need help on installing the recovery OS.

Hello,
I was trying to follow this guide on installing Sabnzbd and Sickbeard onto my B03. http://www.goewert.org/p/pogoplug-from- ... media.html

I got to installing ArchLinux and on this blog says at step 14 of the original guide I should install some modules before the depmod step of #14.

I tried to do this but got an error: -bash: cd: /lib/modules/2.6.31.6_SMP_820: No such file or directory

I didn't know what to do and left it there. We had a power outage and when the B03 reboot I had a blinking green light.

So I guess I am trying to install the recovery OS back onto the system on the Archlinux install page.

I need help on what to do next.

I downloaded a ubuntu livecd and put it into my pc and put the usb stick for the B03 Linux install and downloaded the root file system tarball.

I don't know how to extract to the ext3 partition. I can see the usb drive in ubuntu but don't know if this is the parition I am supposed to extract to? How do I extract it as root user? Also for the MAC address do I need to name the file as anything?

Thanks for the reply. I did go to that link. However I am not too familiar with Linux. I am trying to use Ubuntu to fix the ext3 Partition with the rootfs tarball This step is where I am stuck on and I am trying to figure out how to exactly do this.

Any guides for this linux noob?

- Open a terminal
- change to the directory where the usb stick is mounted
- sudo su
- wget the rootfs
- tar xzf ....
- sync
- exit
- exit
- safely eject
