Transcoding on the Fly

Postby jerjel » Thu Sep 13, 2012 3:58 pm

Hello All,
I installed miniDLNA and I am able to access all my video files on my DLNA enabled TV. Byt my TV doesn't support/play all the video formats that I have. Do you know any method by which I can trans-code those video files on the fly to the format that my TV understands? I came across this package called mediatomb; but I doubt whether it is supported by my device, ARM6(Pogoplug model: POGO-B01)
Thanks in advance.

I'd point out that it is not going to have the gumption to transcode on the fly, a lot of higher end media.

Thank you for your reply warhead. Is it possible to stream online media content through this plug computer to my DLNA enabled device? For example, I want to watch video's from youtube or youku on my television. Is there any software that I can install on my archlinux arm box which would stream it so that I can watch it on my dlna enabled device without any codec issues?
