What about going through all the steps, but before reboot -
pacman -S udev-oxnas

@orney21d:

I wasn't brave enough to try and overwrite udev-oxnas with udev after I got everything working. I just don't update pacman when it asks and that seems to work for me.

exactly the same problem I have.
i don't think this topic has been resolved...

i did

1. i installed arch into usb
2. pacman -Syu
3. pacman -Sy udev-oxnas
4. reboot

and I can not ssh to the pogo
so i mounted the usb drive to my desktop and check sshd executed in pogo
and i found that the ssh daemon successfully executed...
( i modified the sshd start script to print 'ps aux | grep ssh' to temp file )
but can not connect...

ping is ok

but all ports are closed...i think ..
( i also checked with nmap...)

is there any configuration in arch about port ?

how can i open the port..??

plz help me...

If the service is running, then something else is amiss. Check `netstat -a`

You're approaching this correctly to trouble shoot it. :)

I don't think I can say service is running
nothing is working properly... maybe..

even I can not SSH into it.

but I can 'netstat -a' to some file and open it from my desktop
so I will try to get the result and post it.

I'm now suspecting there is some configuration to block port to access remotely...
Do you have any information about it ?
If so please give me anything of it :)

thanks for your reply.

@yolongyi:

when you go to install archlinux, it asks you to update pacman, you should say no and not to overwrite udev or udev-oxnas, say no and install without updating pacman, that was the problem I had.

yes but the thing is when you don't update pacman you can't install what you need (ie mpd or alsa-utils)
