at least check dmesg. (unplug the flash drive/harddisk, mount it to a different system and check in var/log/dmesg.log the one for your medion , not the host computer )
sorry for not posting anything so far, i will need to get an external 3,5" hdd case, as i only have an imac and a laptop. But thanks for your help, now and in the near future
thanks for being so patient. I got my old external case and checked out the harddrive. I can not access it at all, apparently it can not be read. So i could format it and start the install new? Or is there a way to install Arch via PC onto the Harddrive? That would probably be easier then the whole usb thingi, which did not work for me in the first place
no i dont think there is anything on there... (i only have a mac and the disk utility was not able to identify a partition) best to format it and start anew i guess?
do i need to prep the drive or can i just format it in fat and run the usb stick again?
I ran Windows (bootcamp) and it doesnt like the drive either unfortunately i dont have a linux system anywere at the moment. but i could run gentoo live if that helps? so no point in running the usb again?
