A new kernel for oxnas

Well, I meant there seems to be some effort put to kernel version 3.3.x for Oxnas.

I did try it. At least it seems to patch and compile with kernel source 3.3.1. Does it work too - no time yet to give it a try.

Quite frankly, why would we want a Kernel 3.1.xx or 3.3.xx, if we have a working kernel 3.12.xx?

And I had working 3.1 & 3.4 kernels in the past. 3.12+ is the goal.

Well, aside from that link I put, which is for the MTD block device NAND driver ... it's all the same.

Sorry, my bad, didn't notice there is 3.12 already.

With openwrt there is even a kernel version 3.13-2 available. Just compiled it. Will see if I find the time to test it ,too, today.

Seems they "just" took kref's patches and used them on the vanilla 3.13-2 sources.

I would like to give this kernel a try too, but it gives me an error: No rule to make target `arch/arm/boot/dts/ox820.dtb'

Is there something missing from some Makefile?
