Going by the other forum posts, I would presume that a sure-fire fix has not been completed.

But something that sounds like ISP tech support (and I know I've read it on these forums):

Have you played with what drive goes into what USB port? I have two drives on my PogoPlug. If I plug the drive with alarm into the bottom port, it loads first. If I plug the second drive into the bottom port, I get the lovely flashing green light.

It might be a fluke, but it might be worth fiddling with if you can.

I'm not really sure that swapping the drive to different port would actually help but would still try

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('dinjo', 'I')'m not really sure that swapping the drive to different port would actually help [...]

Apparently, the boot process tries the various USB ports in sequence, so if the boot drive is earlier in the sequence than a non-boot drive, it will get tried first. The reason that is not a solution is because the timeout seems to be rather short and if the drive does not respond fast enough, it will get skipped.
I, too, wish there was a solution to this.

Actually, not quite. Its about who responds first when it comes to USB.

$this->bbcode_second_pass_quote('WarheadsSE', 'I')ts about who responds first when it comes to USB.

That's probably why it works for me, then. One of my drives has it's own power source (a 1TB myBook), and an old usb-powered passbook. The former spins up much faster than the latter.
