Did try my hand on kernel 3.1 yesterday and that is definitely for the real men (not enough memory for a native compile, need to heavily patch the kconfig part to make the oxnas platform visible, cross compile instructions as listed on the developers section of the main website fail for me on debian host, and if only I knew what I'm doing).

2.6.31.14 had a cache sync fault, so I have not upgraded that code.

I have built the kernel with just about every possible module enabled, but there are some modules that have faulted during build.

I need to spend non-dosed time sorting out the best way to safely update novices' plugs. After I sort the modules, and do some testing.

I ran into some snags with trying to get up to 2.6.31.14, and there were some issues in the build, wherein I had to make a few alterations. PPP is still shot, sorry.

I need to test the kernel and it's modules *before* packaging.
