State of the Pro/Video/V3

Postby WarheadsSE » Fri Apr 08, 2011 9:36 pm

Ladies and Gents,

We've flashed the kernel to an empty spot in nand, changed 2 blparams, and have full support for usb boot (although not in the same method as "traditional" chained uboot)

Rootfs & installer are uploaded. Instructions ONLINE http://Arch Linux ARM.com/index.php5/Install_on_Pogoplug_Pro

:bows down:

I thank you guys for all the work done on Arch Linux ARM itself. To now hear that my Pro may have a fighting chance (without serial wiring/NAND rewriting) is awesome. I'm sure you're on the forefront of this one, WHSE. Many thanks to the whole developer crew.

Incredible. Its been, what, a WEEK?!? And it's done? Kudos to the entire dev team (I know it's not out yet but I'm giving my thanks pre-me). I've had enough of segmentation faults. Time for sweet samba and printer server to come back to me.

Do you guys have the rootfs up anywhere? I know you're still trying to write the new wiki/instructions for it, but i can't wwwwaaaaiiiitttt. I want to take a gander at what changes have been made from the old process.

I'll make the rootfs tonight.

I have to get the script made up to load it for other though. You don't want to make a mistake in my black magic.

Anxious. Though I don't have time to do it in the next to weeks, I'm so anxious.

Great work !

The PPP kills the SSH connection after killing the Pogoplug service and I can't connect until the next reboot

Is this a known problem or is there already a solution for this ?

I will try tonight with a Serial cable.
